The role of Jim Corrigan has been cast for NBC’s upcoming series Constantine. For DC comic book fans, that news may be exciting, as Corrigan is also known as the host of The Spectre.
IGN has revealed that Emmett Scanlan, whose credits include Guardians of the Galaxy, In The Flesh, and The Fall, has landed the role of Corrigan. You can see a picture of him in a green hoodie to your left.
On Constantine, Corrigan won’t be The Spectre yet. Instead, IGN says “he will be a homicide detective in New Orleans who is plunged into Constantine’s world of occult horrors. Furthermore, Corrigan is someone who is obsessed with justice, and who doesn’t let police procedure or red tape stop him from putting away the bad guys, even if the bad guys turn out to be inhuman.”
The role will be “a recurring guest star.” A few years ago, a Spectre series was in development for FOX, but it never happened.
