AT&T’s Audience Network has announced the renewal of thriller Condor and polyromantic comedy You Me Her. The former will be going into its second season in 2019, while the latter was given a fourth and fifth season renewal today.
“We’re excited to bring back some of our most popular original shows as well as introduce a new documentary as we kick off the fall season,” said Daniel York, chief content officer and senior executive vice president at AT&T. “We want to give customers more choices from our popular slate of original programming — whether they enjoy comedy, high-intense drama or captivating docuseries.”
Based on the novel Six Days of the Condor by James Grady and its subsequent 1975 film adaptation, Condor follows CIA analyst Joe Turner (Max Irons), who joined the agency looking to reform it from within. However, once he becomes privy to a plan that threatens millions and led to the massacre of his entire office, Joe decides to journey to the heart of the military-industrial complex darkness.
In addition to Irons, Condor stars William Hurt (Damages), Mira Sorvino (Intruders), and Kristen Hager (Being Human).
From John Scott Shepherd (Save Me), You Me Her tells the story of married couple Jack (Greg Poehler) and Emma (Rachel Blanchard) as they both unexpectedly fall for grad student Izzy (Priscilla Faia) and subsequently bring her into the marriage as a lover.
Condor and You Me Her join a scripted slate for Audience that includes Mr. Mercedes and Loudermilk. The network has yet to make a decision on drug drama Ice and family comedy Hit the Road.
