Yesterday, Freeform announced their partnership with Marvel Studios on a new series called Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger, based on the Marvel comic book characters who first appeared over 30 years ago in Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man comics. You can purchase a collection of their early comic book appearances here.
During the presentation, a slide was shown promoting the announcement, which does not yet have a writer or producer attached. You can see a picture of that slide, as well as the artwork that Freeform is using to promote the project, below. Note that the logo used for Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger matches the cover logo most associated with the characters’ four-color counterparts.

MARVEL'S CLOAK AND DAGGER - “Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger” is an adaptation of the beloved Marvel characters whose story is aimed squarely at young adults. This live-action interracial romance follows Tandy Bowen and Tyrone Johnson, two teenagers from very different backgrounds, who find themselves burdened and awakened to newly acquired superpowers while falling in love. Tandy can emit light daggers and Tyrone has the ability to engulf others in darkness. They quickly learn they are better together than apart -- but their feelings for each other make their already complicated world even more challenging. “Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger” is a co-production of Marvel Studios and ABC Signature Studios.
