Being allowed to leave the criminal life was something that Desna dreamed about for the day she decided to join. She knew she had to bite the bullet in order to make a life for Dean and her crew, but it was always supposed to be a temporary thing, which made Roller and Uncle Daddy’s insistence on keeping her in the fold that much scarier. Desna wanted nothing less than to go up against the Dixie Mafia and that feeling of being trapped under Uncle Daddy’s thumb, that crushing weight that came with the possibility of being found out for Roller’s “death” was enough to make anyone go crazy. But Desna can’t fully enjoy this newfound freedom, though, because her chickens, so to speak, have come home to roost.
On the next episode of Claws, Desna and Virginia are facing a worst case scenario – Roller isn’t actually dead. His return should spell their imminent demise, given that he’d want revenge against them for what happened and Uncle Daddy already had suspicions about Virginia, but with the combination of head trauma, blood loss, and medicine from Gladys, Roller isn’t exactly in the right head space. His memory now vacant, Virginia and Desna are living on borrowed time and must make a move if they have any hope of survival; just hoping that Roller suffered permanent brain damage is the type of passive nonsense that will get them killed. But short of taking Roller out again, which neither will want to do considering the headache their first incident gave them, what could Virginia and Desna do to protect themselves from being found out by Uncle Daddy?
Elsewhere on Claws, Quiet Ann faces a tough decision regarding her relationship with Detective Branch, while Polly uses her immense powers for good, and Jennifer finds solace in Hank.
Claws airs Sundays at 9:00 on TNT.
Will Roller be able to remember what happened between him, Desna, and Virginia? How will the crew handle the newfound pressure that Roller’s return brings? What would happen to Jennifer if Bryce (or Uncle Daddy) found out that she was forging this connection with a new man?
