Everything that Desna put herself through was for the good of her girls. Sure, she wanted to give herself the life she always thought she deserved, and there was the added motivation in providing for Dean, but Jennifer, Polly, and Quiet Ann were what kept Desna pushing during her time working for Roller. She knew how much her loved ones struggled and how much that struggle mirrored her own, so she would do what she had to in order to pull them all up together. However, now that Desna and her girls have upgraded to a new salon, will they blend right in with the higher-end clientele?
On the next episode of Claws, Desna, Polly, Jennifer, Quiet Ann, and Virginia go to their new salon for the first time, only to find that they’re not exactly welcomed with open arms. It’s not exactly a surprise, given that the previous owner was reluctant to sell to them in the first place, but it’s still not the way that they’d like to kick off this next phase of their professional careers, particularly when they’ll have to build up their client base again in this new location. One way to do that? Prove their worth in a nail-design competition. Potential clients would be more willing to take a chance on them if they win the entire thing and give tangible evidence of the type of work that they’re capable of. Since their talent is undeniable, giving it a big enough platform to be noticed would be the right thing to do, but what happens if Desna and company underperform right as they’re trying to build buzz for their new salon? Could Desna’s dream of living a life greater than she’s ever known be over before it even begins?
Elsewhere on Claws, Virginia begins moving on from the Roller ordeal by seeking out a little luxury, while Jennifer learns a secret that threatens her friendship with Desna.
