TNT has announced that dark comedy Claws has been renewed for a second season that will premiere in 2018. The series earned its pass to next year by becoming the highest-rated series launch since TNT rebranded, the youngest-skewing TNT series overall, cable’s #4 new drama with adults 18-49 for 2017-to-date, and #4 cable drama in social engagement, in addition to growing 27% since its premiere.
“Look out Manatee County, these ladies are coming back for more!” said TNT’s EVP programming Sarah Aubrey. “These strong-willed, hilarious women represent the diverse voices this network is all about. Claws has certainly struck a chord with audiences and continues to attract new viewers each week.”
From Eliot Laurence (The Big Gay Sketch Show) and executive produced by Will McCormack and Rashida Jones (A to Z), Claws follows the goings-on at Nail Artisan, a southern Florida nail shop used to launder money for the Dixie Mafia. Its owner Desna (Niecy Nash) thinks that she can spend a year trying to bank as much money as she can before getting out of the criminal life, but circumstances beyond her control threaten to pull her down into the darkness for a while longer.
In addition to Nash, Claws stars Jenn Lyon (Justified), Judy Reyes (Devious Maids), Carrie Preston (The Good Wife), Karrueche Tran (The Nice Guys), Jack Kesy (The Strain), Kevin Rankin (Breaking Bad), and Harold Perrineau (Lost).
Claws airs Sundays at 9:00 on TNT. You can check out why KSiteTV thinks you should catch up here.
