Syfy has released photos and a preview from the series premiere of grindhouse thriller Blood Drive and in them, we see that the unlikeliest of duos can form the tightest of bonds.
From James Roland (Weeds), Blood Drive tells the story of Arthur Bailey (Alan Ritchson), the last good cop in Los Angeles. When he gets forced into joining a cross-country race using cars that run on blood, with the last place finisher paying with their life, he quickly realizes his only hope of survival is partner Grace (Christina Ochoa), a beautiful femme fatale whose ruthlessness might be Arthur’s ticket to safety. However, Grace has an agenda of her own that could threaten to derail her team’s chances of making it through the race in one piece, let alone winning.
In addition to Ritchson and Ochoa, Blood Drive stars Colin Cunningham (Stargate SG-1), Thomas Dominique (Black Mirror), and Sean Cameron Michael (Black Sails). The series joins an original scripted slate for Syfy that includes The Magicians, 12 Monkeys, Z Nation, and The Expanse.
The series premiere of Blood Drive airs Wednesday, June 14th at 10:00 on Syfy.
