When Arthur was forced into the Blood Drive, his ultimate goal was to bring down Heart Enterprises and stop anyone from having to undergo such a hellish experience ever again. He knew the kind of pain and destruction that Heart’s omniscience had wrought and knowing that would continue unless he did something about it gave him the motivation to push through the race’s tougher moments. However, something inside Arthur snapped during the Kentucky Battle Dome, as he threw out his respect for the rule of law and the internal code in which he had been operating when he thought Grace had been fed to one of the engines. All the anger and blood lust he had been repressing found its way to the surface and resulted in a massive amount of destruction that earned him the title of Primo.
On tonight’s episode of Blood Drive, Arthur basks in the afterglow of his ascendancy to Primo, a title he didn’t even want but something that he earned upon Grace’s forfeit. Now’s the time for Arthur to get everything he ever wanted or thought he could need as reward for the chaos he wrought, but what he doesn’t know is that the end of his journey into the Blood Drive isn’t complete. Not when Slink is still seething about the treatment he received from Heart, a resentment that causes the Master of Mayhem to scheme a way to bring down the Primo. This would rob Heart of something important to them, just as they robbed him of control over the race, while giving the Blood Drive a hell of a flourish that plays into Slink’s penchant for showmanship. No other race has ended with the Primo taken down by the forces behind the race, so it’s up to Grace and Christopher to find Arthur and keep him safe long enough for him to remember who he is.
Blood Drive airs tonight at 10:00 on Syfy.
Can Grace and Christopher save Arthur from being consumed by the darkness? Does Arthur have a plan to bring down Heart from the inside, using his place as the Primo as his way in? Could Slink relent on his desire to kill Arthur if a more attractive offer comes his way?
