This year’s big DC TV crossover between the series Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman will apparently feature the lead character from another CW series.
This weekend, it was reported by a site that routinely makes up stories from make-believe sources (like when they posted that DC Universe was developing a Batgirl series — they don’t have this covered, but they have a wire toward tricking fandom into believing fake stuff) that Cress Williams, a.k.a. Black Lightning, would be in the crossover as well.
What was a very good speculation apparently caused Williams to share the announcement — which we assume was to be saved for tomorrow’s CW day at the Television Critics Association press tour — and confirm it to be true. Hey, a wrong clock is correct twice a day, right? I mean, right now we could post a “Tom Welling will be in Crisis on Infinite Earths” story, and it might not be true, but it could be sometime later.
Keep in mind, we do not have official confirmation from the network or the studio, though we have reached out, but Williams’ Instagram post and the people who have responded to it seems to be all we need to see. And as for tomorrow… hopefully The CW will have more surprises to share, in addition to confirmation of this. You can see Cress Williams’ Instagram post below.
UPDATE: The news was indeed confirmed at the Television Critics Association press tour!
