ABC has renewed Big Sky for a third season with an added bonus: Jensen Ackles, who will guest star in the May 19 season finale of the show, has been added as a series regular for the Season 3.
The Supernatural fan favorite will play Beau Arlen, who Deadline describes as “a confident and charming good ol’ boy from Texas who steps in as temporary Sheriff (and Jenny Hoyt’s new boss) as a favor to his friend Sheriff Tubb. It’s said to be a one-year deal.
Jensen Ackles will also be seen soon on Season 3 of The Boys on Prime Video where he will be playing “Soldier Boy,” and in the coming TV season he’ll be revisiting Dean Winchester – his voice, at least – in the new Supernatural prequel The Winchesters.
