Around two weeks following its season finale, acclaimed skateboarding drama Betty has been renewed by HBO for a second season.
“It’s been a joy to ride through the streets of NYC with the inspiring women of Betty, and we’re grateful to them and to Crystal for sharing their stories and friendships with us,” said Amy Gravitt, executive vice president of HBO Programming. “We can’t wait to watch where our beloved Bettys go next.”
The series has been part of a good year for HBO, which has included positive reviews for the likes of Run, I May Destroy You, and The Plot Against America while Westworld and Avenue 5 have already been renewed.
The season finale of Betty aired Friday, June 5th on HBO.
