AMC has announced that acclaimed drama Better Call Saul has been renewed for a 10-episode fourth season, which is set to premiere in 2018.
“Supporting artists we respect and admire; delivering truly outstanding character development and nuanced dramatic twists and turns; continuing a legacy of bold creative choices; loving writing that is the best in the business: Truly, ‘S’all good, man’,” said Charlie Collier, president of AMC, SundanceTV and AMC Studios. “Congratulations to Vince, Peter, Bob and everyone involved with Better Call Saul. Bring on season four!”
The third highest-rated cable drama in adults 25-54, Better Call Saul serves as a prequel to fellow AMC drama Breaking Bad and follows Bad supporting character Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) before he was Saul Goodman. Rather, Saul follows Jimmy McGill, an unsuccessful lawyer attempting to get out of the shadow of his brother and go straight after working as a con-man.
In addition to Odenkirk, Better Call Saul stars Jonathan Banks (Community), Rhea Seehorn (Whitney), Patrick Fabian (Big Love), Michael Mando (Orphan Black), and Michael McKean (Laverne & Shirley).
The series is part of a scripted lineup for AMC that includes Humans, The Walking Dead, and Into the Badlands.
