Two more actors have joined Kristin Kreuk and Austin Basis on The CW’s Beauty And The Beast update.
Deadline is reporting that Nicole Gale Anderson (Jonas, Make It Or Break It) has been cast as Catherine (Kreuk)’s sister, named Heather, and Nina Lisandrello has been cast as her partner and friend on the homicide squad, named Tess.
Funny trivia for Smallville fans watching for Kristin Kreuk: Not only is there a Tess in this project… there’s a character named “Chloe” who factors in as well!
No word yet on who will play the title “beast” in The CW’s project, but hopefully that news will come soon.

From the pilot script I’ve read this reboot is definitely not like the original -It should not have been promoted as such -While it is a beauty & beast type themed show, they shouldn’t have named the main characters Catherine & Vincent -I had high hopes for a B&B remake, but I wanted it to be more like the original with all the romance & fantasy (& actually a happy ending this time) -I see none of that in this reboot, especially with the character of Vincent, who was once a unique, poetic, mysterious being with a gentle soul -Now he’ll be a genetically altered hairy human super soldier playing Wii & drinking beer? -I honestly thought the script was a joke & not authentic -I am truly disappointed that it was true –(Btw, in addition to original fans many new fans have discovered the series through the DVD’s)
