Last week, it was announced that ABC is developing a modern-day Beauty and the Beast.
Apparently that was based on the classic fairy tale, and not the late 1980’s TV series, because today TVLine is reporting that The CW is developing a remake of the 1980’s TV series Beauty and the Beast. This one will be written by Jennifer Levin (Without a Trace) and Sherri Cooper (Brothers & Sisters). Which one of these “tales as old as time” will make it to TV first, if any? Guess we’ll find out Fall 2012…
