The CW has released an official description for the January 27 episode of Beauty and the Beast.

ReunionThe title of the episode is “Held Hostage” and here is how the network describes it:

CAT, TORI AND TESS ARE TAKEN HOSTAGE —  A group of criminals looking to steal a rare necklace in Tori’s (guest star Amber Skye Noyes) possession takes Cat (Kristin Kreuk), Tori and Tess (Nina Lisandrello) hostage at the precinct, leaving Vincent (Jay Ryan) as their only hope for help.  Vincent is forced to make a decision since helping could reveal his true identity to the entire force.  Sendhil Ramamurthy, Nina Lisandrello and Austin Basis also star.  Sudz Sutherland directed the episode written by Pamela Sue Anton (#211).

    1. Question for Craig on Jan 9, 2014 5:40 pm

      Question for Craig,

Are they implying that Vincent and Tori are having a relationship while VinCat are broken?

I notice a bunch of people stating that they will not watch Tori’s arc in the other forums.

    2. Craig Byrne on Jan 9, 2014 5:42 pm

I am not suggesting that they are in a romantic relationship, but they definitely are shacked up together, and that’s what I don’t like. Tori says stuff about them like “we” – yeah, I guess it can be a “we” as in just friends… but to borrow a quote from the Lois & Clark TV show “there is you, there is I, there is no We.”

… if that makes any sense.

    3. Craig Byrne on Jan 9, 2014 5:42 pm

I should also add that there are parts of this episode that are worth seeing – if you hate Tori DVR it and just ffwd through her stuff. There are some good scenes, and the ending is REALLY good. But it’s just a matter of getting there, ya know?

    4. maureen on Jan 9, 2014 6:08 pm

Where am I seeing that Vincent and Tori are shacked up? You have got to be kidding me!

    5. Question for Craig on Jan 9, 2014 6:08 pm

Wow, okay. You are the best dude.

    6. maureen on Jan 9, 2014 6:14 pm

The ending being REALLY good could that possible be that we see the last of Tori? Please give me SOMETHING to look forward to!

    7. Craig Byrne on Jan 9, 2014 6:16 pm

      Unfortunately I can’t promise you that :(

    8. Larissa on Jan 9, 2014 6:44 pm

I’m sorry for sounding like an idiot, but what exactly does “shacked up” mean?

    9. charity on Jan 9, 2014 6:56 pm

Shacked up as in living together? Oh heck to the no. Now that I can’t tolerate whatsoever and I don’t like that one bit. Please tell me that isn’t the case. Already dreading these episodes with Tori, I just can fathom the writers pushing it that far.

    10. Maureen on Jan 9, 2014 7:28 pm

How many episodes is she going to really be in. does anyone know?

    11. Nic on Jan 9, 2014 7:56 pm

This episode as far as I know takes place right after the last episode (episode 9 is moments/hours after the end of episode 8)…so if Tori is taking care of Vincent or taking him to the hospital…to me that doesn’t mean they are shacked up because barely any time has passed. I mean I’m not sure how much time passes in episode 9, but it isn’t crazy to think of a friend staying to help you recover from a gunshot wound (episode 11 should answer the issue of whether Tori is really staying at Vincent’s-btw she has like a mansion so why would she besides right after he is shot to make sure he isn’t like bleeding to death)…not that I like it…but I think shacking up (IMO) means something different than what Craig meant in this case…Craig please clarify! Thanks! Again, I’ll live if Tori is just hanging around Vincent like a lost puppy making sure he doesn’t die-I guess taking care of him to some extent…but I can’t see them living together. I can’t see the writers pushing it that far. They barely know each other… The Tori arc is almost over…yay!

    12. Nic on Jan 9, 2014 8:06 pm

I don’t like the we stuff either for anyone besides Vincat, but Tori saying it to me about Vincent and her is annoying, but it’s like either a. It could be just as friends regardless of who uses we on the show (again I prefer Vincat only, but we can also just mean friends like Cat and Tess use we on the show a lot) or b. I’m not surprised she wouldn’t try to be like me and Vincent this and that bc he’s like the only person she has left and he’s attractive and a beast like her and she’s confused. Tori will be gone soon. I just hope her appearance is minimal in the remaining eps she has…She isn’t doing much for me although I don’t hate her. I just want Vincat back on track and she isn’t helping.

***SPOILER ALERT RE TORI LEAVING: Tori leaves in a few episodes so I am told. The actress isn’t filming anymore is what I’ve gotten…

    13. Tashi on Jan 9, 2014 8:12 pm

Craig, by shacked together, you just mean being put on the same side, right? Like working together? Like the writers are trying to make them be a beast unified front? I think the writers are forcing them together as this beast fighting unit with a sprinkle of will they or will they not cross the romantic line for dramatic purposes (writers love the drama this season). I assume they don’t cross that line bc that’d be a non-no. The writers just want us to be worried but I know she isn’t a viable love interest so it’s like just no already. Because I’m getting that the whole point is Tori feels like it’s her and the only other beast int he world against non-beasts so I think that’s why she is weing it up. She lost everyone in her life so she is following Vincent like a lost puppy and he is shot and is like okay…but we can just mean friends…annoying to hear her say it…but it doesn’t mean anything really…just to annoy us I guess lol

    14. maureen on Jan 9, 2014 9:24 pm

I guess what I am trying to figure out is all of this and all of what has already happened, in the name of EPIC love.

    15. maureen on Jan 9, 2014 9:25 pm

all of this in the name of Epic love!

    16. maureen on Jan 9, 2014 9:26 pm

Sorry didn’t mean to say this twice!

    17. maureen on Jan 9, 2014 9:59 pm

As far as Tori leaving, this is Episode 11, so 1) she is not shacking up whatever is meant by that because he was shot. He was on a talk show and at a party in a suit looking pretty darn healthy in episode 10 and 2) that means she is around until episode 13? That leaves only 3 episodes to make things right with VInCat without Tori around until the hiatus. I really want to believe that is going to happen. I really want to believe that we are not going to have to wait until sometime next summer for VinCat to somehow find the love that has been so totally lost and destroyed this season. I am sorry for being negative. I don’t want to be about this show but I am SO DEPRESSED!

    18. making it worse on Jan 10, 2014 4:48 am

All this in the name of exciting drama and epic love. Not buying it. 4 me looks like more struggles just to sit and watch! Need #FFâ–

    19. ean on Jan 10, 2014 7:00 am

LOL almost everyone is asking what I’m dying to know ~ when does Tori leave? No offence to Amber ~ she is so sweet and understanding to fans on twitter but I can’t get behind her character at all the way it has been written so far.

    21. Adele on Jan 10, 2014 8:38 am

Vincent and Tori are not going to have a romantic relationship. She’s a beast, he’s a beast, that’s their bond. Vincent is a mentor to Tori and that’s it. This connection is going to lead him down the path to find out who he really is and what Muirfield actually did to him will start to be revealed. This door opening will lead him down another path and he will discover his connection to Catherine and just how deep it goes beyond them just meeting and falling in love. Without Tori’s entrance into the dynamics of Vincent’s and Catherine’s relationship, neither of them would have known just how deep their connection to one another really is. This is the sole purpose for the entrance of Tori’s character in season 2, to bring Vincent and Catherine back together and that’s it. Gabe’s and Catherine’s realtionship this season is the same as Catherine’s and Evan’s relationship in season 1. They are nothing more than just good friends, same as Cat and Evan in season 1. He has feelings for her just like Evan did, but she won’t reciprocate those feelings. Their relationship in season 2 is the same as Cat’s and Evan’s in season 1 and nothing more in Catherine’s eyes even if she’s not feeling the love for Vincent right now. They have a soul connection right now more than a love connection because Vincent doesn’t have his memory back yet, he has only had flashbacks of her and those are not actual memories. Catherine will still do everything she can to protect Vincent because of their underlying connection to one another. The bromance between JT and Vincent will start to show up in episode 2×09 and come back fully during episode 2×12. Catherine and Vincent will start to come back to one another before season 2 ends.

    22. Craig Byrne on Jan 10, 2014 9:04 am

I hear you. Amber seems like a nice person and a good actress but Tori the character is just something that doesn’t work for the show right now.

I would love to see her on something else, though.

    23. maureen on Jan 10, 2014 9:47 am

I agree Craig! I love Amber. I think she played this part very well but would like to see her in something else or more music. And I want Cat and Vincent to be together much before the end of the season. That is way too long to leave us all hanging after what we have suffered this season, whether we love or hate this season. I know we will start to see the connection again even amidst all this angst and much more after epsidoe 12 when it seems to be all the love triangles and potentials will be gone for good! I still am unsure about Gabe; if he really has been as altruistic as he has been so far this season. I think Gabe always has an agenda. I am still a little depressed but do know that we have to go through a few more hurdles to get there. I am ALL IN THOUGH! Just PLEASE Sherri and Jennifer-bring on the ROMANCE SOON!!!!!

    24. sound familiar? on Jan 10, 2014 2:21 pm

Wow, I’m reading a comment that I swear sounds verbatim showrunner! Freakish echo affect~

    25. charity on Jan 10, 2014 3:10 pm

Thank goodness that Amber hasn’t been called upon to be a regular. Sorry, but I despise the character and she annoys the heck out of me. Can’t stand seeing her face and hearing her whiny voice. The sooner she’s gone, the better. The sad part is the character could’ve been interesting, but the writers went down the lazy path of her having a “beast attraction/connection” with Vincent. There may not be a full relationship between Tori/Vincent but Mr. Kern has already said she won’t stop trying. My main concern is Vincent’s reaction. We will see on that.

    26. maureen on Jan 10, 2014 4:26 pm

Sound familiar=I hope you are not talking about me as I am totally anti-showrunner. I have not been on board with the extreme changes, etc at all this year and personally think it is a huge reason why the show is in the precarious position it is in. I did not like the spoilers right the beginning and every time the showrunner has done an interview, I believe he has driven more fans away; certainly not brought in the male audience he thought re-booting the show would bring=it has only managed to alienate a huge amount of the fans already watching the show. I am saddened by this as I think his vision could have worked it he had only adjusted it to truly to an epic love justice. Now trying to believably ( a word Mr Kerns likes to use-it has to be believable like in real life) come back to the epic love after all that Vincent has done to Cat-beast or no beast-will truly be something to watch. And we don’t even know if that will happen before or after the hiatus!

    27. sound familiar? on Jan 10, 2014 4:56 pm

      Definitely not ur comment Maureen.

    28. Larissa on Jan 12, 2014 8:46 pm

I just watched 2×09, and I have got to say Tori wasn’t a threat AT ALL! The whole “Vincent saved Tori, and not me” crap was RIDICULOUS! I didn’t see it that way!

    29. Alison on Jan 13, 2014 8:52 am

I have just seen the ‘Don’t die on me’ episode and although Cat & Vincent apppear to be at the end of their relationship, we all know that’s not going to happen. After their argument over the shooting, they are at least talking. Tori is hanging around Vincent in an annoying way but I think he is just being chivalrus, thinking he has to keep saving her or anyone else in trouble. When he wakes on the couch, his first words are where’s Tori and Cat. He goes off to save both of them, not just Tori.

We know the writers have to make things bad between Cat and Vincent before they can get the romance back on track, but I think romances with other characters (like Gabe and Tori) would be going too far. If you love someone, even if you’ve broken up temporarily, you don’t start a relationship with someone else. I just wish the writers would get back to writing storylines with Cat and Vincent together against the world , rather than at odds with each other.

    30. Donna on Jan 13, 2014 9:11 am

Could u please tell what hsppened? Dreading seeing tonights but also looking forward it.

Does Vincent see Car and Gabe kiss? Tell if you can. Thanks

    31. Donna on Jan 13, 2014 9:18 am

      Saving them from who?

    32. Lisa on Jan 15, 2014 7:25 pm

I think the writers of this show need to get on twitter and these boards and see what fans are saying. No one liked the last red head and no one likes this new one. Bringing another girl between Cat & Vincent just doesn’t work for a relationship that is suppose to be so deep romantically. I’m losing interest in this show with yet another other woman storyline this season. I hear this show is on the fence at being renewed and it’s all the writers fault. If they don’t bring this back to a Cat & Vincent relationship then it won’t get viewers back after it’s long hiatus and it will be doomed to be canceled in my opinion. Sad I really liked Season 1 and looked forward to Season 2 but haven’t liked Season 2 at all.

    33. Alison on Jan 20, 2014 9:22 am

MINOR SPOILER ALERT!! I have just seen the “Ancestors” episode and without giving too much away, Beasties don’t have to worry about a romance between Vincent and Tori. She wants it but he clearly doesn’t see her in that way and the only link between them is the fact that they are both beasts. Whilst Tori wants a future with Vincent, he is more interested in his past and both he and Cat are both in denial about their feelings for each other. No one is buying the ‘I’m not jealous’ line they are both trying to convey. Having said that, I am still very concerned about Vincent’s personality. He has bonded now with JT again and their interactions seem as they were but Vincent is just not as nice as he was in season one. When not a beast, he was sweet and gentle and his MO was to help innocent people. He doesn’t seem to be having problems with his memory anymore so when will we get the old Vincent back? You can bet that that’s when we will see Cat & Vincent start to fall in love again.

    34. Kate M on Jan 21, 2014 7:02 pm

I think episode 12 or 13 maybe Tori’s last episode and that is based from reading between the lines with interviews given and episode titles. Putting aside the romantic relationship between VinTor, Tori has definitely brought a lot of drama and action to the show and when asked about her show character at interviews, it was said that she was cast to serve a purpose. My prediction is that Vincent will be put in a situation where he will have to kill Tori to save Catherine, just my thoughts.

    35. tamara nabil on Jan 22, 2014 2:52 am

Craig,we have been worried about this second choice crap which happened in alex-arc would happen again when tori is dead or leaves. This REAL good-end of this ep. you mentioned has anything to to with that?,which clarifies that second choice will not hopefully happen this time?greetings:tamara
