A new article at TV Line has confirmed what many had suspected: The planned “Arrowverse crossover” that was to be held within the Batwoman and Superman & Lois series is no longer going to happen.
“We’re not really able to cross over because physically, we can’t cross crews due to the fear of exposure to COVID,” Batwoman EP Caroline Dries explained to TV Line, specifically discussing whether or not Supergirl’s Kara would be coming by Gotham City. “So if Supergirl weren’t ending this year, I would say there would be more of a possibility. But I’m afraid that at least this year, we’re not going to be able to tap into that dynamic.”
Additionally in the same interview piece, new Batwoman Javicia Leslie expressed regrets that Black Lightning ending means that chances for a crossover, at least this season, are unlikely – Leslie would love to see a “Super Black” crossover, as would we — who wouldn’t want to see Anissa Pierce and Ryan Wilder having a Super-team-up for example?

While not a crossover per se, we will point out that Arrow’s David Ramsey will be appearing on episodes of five Vancouver-based Arrowverse series, so maybe we can hope for an unofficial crossover after all? Stay tuned…
