Tying in to tonight’s return of B Positive airing at 9:30PM ET/PT on CBS, a full three-minute version of the show’s main titles has been released, featuring the performance of the series’ Broadway star Annaleigh Ashford. The titles were created to reflect the new direction of the show, and of course, we love opening titles around these parts. This full theme song is written by Chuck Lorre and Kevin R. Moore, and as we know, Chuck Lorre is no stranger to iconic theme song. (Sing it with us: “They’re the world’s most fearsome fighting team!”)
“When we set out to create the new opening titles for B Positive, we knew we wanted to highlight Annaleigh Ashford’s extraordinary Broadway talent,” Executive Producers Chuck Lorre, Jim Patterson and Warren Bell said in a statement. “But when we saw the pure joy leap off the screen watching Annaleigh sing and dance, we knew 20 seconds was not enough, so we filmed enough footage to create a full version of the main titles. This 3-minute version is jubilant, fun and perfectly encapsulates what the second chapter of B Positive is all about – the happiness we get from giving back.”
Tonight’s episode is called “Heartburn, Woodstock and Ribs” and in it, Drew returns from his road trip to be with Gina, and the retirement home residents and staff and mourn the death of a beloved friend.
B Positive is from Executive Producers Chuck Lorre, Jim Patterson and Warren Bell, and stars Annaleigh Ashford, Thomas Middleditch, Kether Donohue, Sara Rue, Izzy G, Terrence Terrell, Linda Lavin, Darryl Stephens and David Anthony Higgins. Additionally, this full theme of B Positive is now available from WaterTower Music on all streaming platforms. The music video intro can also be seen below!
