The Bluth family might make television history tonight with the return of Arrested Development with new episodes, exclusively on Netflix starting at midnight Pacific time tonight (May 26). The family is back for a new season of 15 episodes featuring the eccentric family, and all of the original cast — including Jason Bateman, Michael Cera, Will Arnett, Portia de Rossi, Jessica Walter, Alia Shawkat, David Cross, Tony Hale, and Jeffrey Tambor — are along for the ride, as are some famous guest stars from the first one, and the infamous stair car.
It will be interesting to see if Netflix’s servers can handle the demand of the legion of Arrested fans who might be checking the site in about an hour. If this is all a success, though, who knows what the future could bring… could more shows come back in a similar fashion? Could we get an Arrested Development Season 5? And will these episodes be any good? We will know very soon…
