TBS has officially renewed acclaimed procedural satire Angie Tribeca for a 10-episode fourth season, which is slated to launch in 2018.
From Nancy (Saturday Night Live) and Steve Carell (The Office), with Ira Ungerleider (Friends) acting as showrunner, Angie Tribeca follows the title character (Rashida Jones), a 10-year veteran of the LAPD Really Heinous Crimes Unit, as she deals with having a new partner. The series has grown in the 18-49 demo for two consecutive seasons, skews four years younger than the TBS median age, and ranked as one of cable’s top 10 comedies for the recently completed second quarter among all demos.
In addition to Jones, Angie Tribeca stars Hayes MacArthur (Go On), Jere Burns (Justified), Deon Cole (black-ish), and Andree Vermeulen (Laid Off).
Angie Tribeca completed its third season this past June. The series is part of a scripted slate for TBS that includes People of Earth, Search Party, and American Dad.
What did you think about the show’s third season? Are you happy with how TBS’s recent rebrand has gone? Is there a type of show you’d like to see them go after in the near future?
