Deadline is reporting that Hulu has given a series order to high school comedy All Night, which already began production earlier this month.
From Jason Ubaldi (Youth & Consequences), All Night takes place at a lock-in graduation party and follows a group of new graduates as they come face-to-face with their futures. Among those whose involvement in the project has now been formally announced are Allie Grant (Suburgatory), Noureen DeWulf (Anger Management), Ty Doran (American Crime), Tequan Richmond (Everybody Hates Chris), Chris Avila (The Real O’Neals), Brec Bassinger (Bella and the Bulldogs), and Tom Maden (Scream).
All Night comes as Hulu is beefing up its original programming following the breakout success of The Handmaid’s Tale. It’s part of the next wave of programming for the streaming service that includes sci-fi drama Future Man, Marvel’s Runaways, pre-apocalyptic British co-production Hard Sun, and 9/11 drama The Looming Tower. The series joins an original series lineup that includes British sex industry drama Harlots, detective dramedy Shut Eye, and family comedy Casual.
All Night is set to premiere its 10-episode first season in 2018 on Hulu.
