For all that the Copeland family has been through since the world fell apart, the one thing that hadn’t touched them directly was the plague. Granted, Sally met her untimely end at the hands of an infected at Booner’s, but neither she nor any other member of the family was infected themselves. It was a small miracle that the Copelands managed to last as long as they did without an infection, given how quickly it spreads and how ugly things can turn once someone gets infected, but there’s very little luck left in the world and that finally caught up with them at Ewan’s, where Josh found himself infected.

On tonight’s episode of Aftermath, the Copeland family goes in search of the tetracycline that their patriarch needs in order to emerge alive on the other side of this illness. With how scarce the drug is and how valued it’s become, it’s a tall order to find it without walking directly into a dangerous situation, but Josh is too important for them to think about the obstacles that lay in front of them and the tetracycline. This family has already survived so much in the weeks since the apocalypse began and if they have any hope at staying as strong as they’ve been, they’re going to need every member of their family to make it. But even if they’re capable of getting the best of the strangers that make getting the medicine so difficult, could Josh have any lasting effects from his illness?

Aftermath airs tonight at 10:00 on Syfy.

Do you think the family will be able to get Josh the tetracycline he needs? What will the Copelands have to do in order to get the medicine? Could everyone having to band together to help Josh bring them even closer together?
