As the trumpets of the apocalypse blared across the sky, the Copelands knew their time on Earth was very likely limited. Unless they found a way to halt the world crashing down around them, they would only have to grim and bear everything being thrown at them for a short while. The fate of the world was something in the back of everyone’s mind, but it was something they couldn’t afford to fixate on, not when there have been very real and very present dangers presenting themselves on a daily basis. From Skin Walkers to revenge-minded nurses, from sea goblins to earthquakes, the family has rightfully been more focused on surviving day to day than anything else, but what happens when the limited time they had remaining runs out?

On the next episode of Aftermath, the asteroids that hit the moon have knocked a substantial amount of debris toward the Earth’s gravitational pull. With the radio giving them 36 hours before impact, the Copeland family could be in their last moments together, their determination to survive and their strengthening family bond proving to not be enough to halt the consequences of the apocalypse. Though they could easily sit and wallow as the clock ticks down on their mortality, the family won’t give up without a fight, not when Josh is in danger of becoming a feverhead before their very eyes. It’s one thing for the world to end when they’re all cognizant of what’s going on; it’s a whole other beast to watch their loved one disappear into madness in the waning hours before the world is destroyed. If the Copelands are going to go out, they’re going to go out together as they were, not as what this new world they’ve been fighting to survive in made them.

Aftermath airs Tuesdays at 10:00 on Syfy.

Will inducing Josh into a coma slow down the illness? Can the Copelands help their patriarch before pieces of the moon enter the Earth’s gravitational pull? Is there any chance that the family can survive this latest threat unscathed?
