Against all odds, the Copeland family made it back home following the most hellish period of their lives. It would have been easy for any one of them to give up and lose hope that they would all be able to complete the journey home, but the family has been able to discover how strong their bond is thanks to the trials they’ve been faced with. It was that bond that got them through the toughest times and it’s that bond that will allow them to move on from the realization that their home is no more, that the only stability they have in their lives now is their RV and one another. But the question remains: Now that the family’s lifestyle has turned nomadic, what will their next move be?
On tonight’s episode of Aftermath, the Copeland family runs up on a biker gang headed up by someone from Karen’s past. Karen’s connections through her time in the Air Force have served the family well thus far, but after everything they’ve been through recently, the Copelands can’t afford to let their guard down. Not only do they not know what they’ll be facing on a daily basis, whether it be volcanoes, solar flares, or sea goblins, they know that putting too much trust in someone they don’t really know can be deadly. Until they find a place they can call their own, a place that will allow them the chance to rest and recuperate, they have to stay alert and put the state of their family above all else. But even if Karen’s friend has the best intentions in the world, and even if these latest temporary allies seem docile enough, there’s the whole matter of the murderous Skin Walkers roaming around, seemingly targeting the family after Brianna’s abduction, Devin’s possession, and Josh’s encounter at the university. Is there anywhere in this world the family can be safe from these demons?
Aftermath airs tonight at 10:00 on Syfy.
Do you think the Copelands should trust Karen’s friend? What could the Skin Walkers want with the Copeland family? If the family can’t be safe with the group of bikers, where should they head next?
