It was always part of the plan for NBC to replace Thursday night comedies A to Z and Bad Judge in favor of The Blacklist at midseason, but now, word has come from Deadline that the shows won’t pass their initial 13-episode orders. The shows will, however, stay in their current time slots for the time being.
Both shows struggled in the ratings, but then again, what is to be expected when a show is up against a mega-hit like Scandal?
Bad Judge, starring Kate Walsh, had a bit of a rough go from critics; A to Z, starring Ben Feldman and Cristin Milioti, seemed to be well-liked from the critical contingent.
As both shows are still in production, here’s to hoping the shows get appropriate closure, unless their respective studios want to shop them elsewhere.
