Actors, writers, directors, podcasters, historians, and fan favorites from the world of “Star Trek” including William Shatner, Christopher Lloyd, Carol Kane, Paul Wesley, Kate Mulgrew, Sonequa Martin-Green, Jeri Ryan, Doug Jones, Brent Spiner, Jonathan Frakes, Anson Mount, and Rebecca Romijn will descend upon the Rio Las Vegas for what is described as “the ultimate fan experience” presented by Creation Entertainment. 177 guests have signed on to appear so far, with availability subject to change. In addition to autograph and photo opportunities, a highlight of the convention will surely be a one-time-only staged reading of “Plan 9 From Outer Space” on Friday, August 2, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting PanCan (Pancreatic Cancer Action Network). The reading will include Troy Baker, Claudia Christian, Terry Farrell, Kirk Thatcher, Anson Mount, John Delancie, Dan Fogler, Issac Robinson-Smith, Vanessa Marshall and Mary McDonnell. It will be directed by Meredith Layne, adapted to the stage by Ashley E. Miller and produced by Mark A. Altman, Ashley E. Miller, Daren Dochterman and Executive Producers Gary Berman and Adam Malin.
Going throughout the event at The DeForest Kelley Theater, the Inglorious Treksperts Stage will see four days of non-stop industry-centric programming at SLTV that takes you behind the scenes of sixty years of Star Trek from the production of the first pilot “The Cage” to today’s newest Trek series and more.
