For most of this recent TV season, Canadian fans of The CW’s Arrow had a treat, getting to see the series at least an hour earlier than their American counterparts; with CTV’s new schedule announced today, Arrow will be on at 8PM, like The CW, but its Amell-starring CW companion, The Tomorrow People, will actually air earlier — in the Wednesday 7PM spot.
So, Canadians will still get their double-dose of Amells, with Stephen Amell on Arrow and Robbie Amell on The Tomorrow People; they’ll just air in a different order up north.
The different scheduling partly comes from the notion that CTV runs series from several U.S. networks, and the Wednesday at 9 slot belongs to Criminal Minds.
In other news, the highly anticipated Marvel series Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. will be airing on CTV the same time as its U.S. broadcast; Tuesdays at 8PM.
