- All the Let’s potato chips material was golden.
- The gym shorts and general feeling of “Physical Education Education” are fairly clear references to season one’s “Physical Education,” but another subtle one is that Dean Pelton’s tiger-pattern underwear here is the same kind of underwear we saw Jeff wearing in “Physical Education.” And it’s also the second time Dean has been seen wearing the same underwear as Jeff (season 3’s “Documentary Filming Redux” was the other instance), which is officially the weirdest thing I’ve typed in this review.
- Apparently this episode’s order was switched with the previous week, as the poster used in the glitter joke I pointed out was originally created here, it seems. It makes a little more sense considering how much meeting Jeff’s father was brought up.
- “Magnitude, you usually have the perfect blend of brevity and wit that sums up situations like this.”
