Streaming service Shudder has unveiled the first batch of stories that will make up the six-episode first season of upcoming horror anthology Creepshow.

- “House of the Head” by Josh Malerman (Bird Box)
- “The Companion” by Joe Lansdale (The Bottoms)
- “The Man in the Suitcase” by Christopher Buehlman (The Lesser Dead)
- “All Hallows Eve” by Bruce Jones (The Hitchhiker)
- “Night of the Paw” by John Esposito (The Walking Dead: Webisodes)
- “Bad Wolf Down” by Rob Schrab (Monster House)
Based on the 1982 Stephen King-penned film, with Greg Nicotero (The Walking Dead) to executive produce/direct, Creepshow will also adapt a King story to be revealed later, while each episode is set to be directed by a different director. It’s Shudder’s first attempt at long-form scripted television after becoming a go-to genre hub for horror fans, scooping up cult classics, under-the-radar newbies, and the SVOD rights to the likes of Channel Zero along the way.
Creepshow arrives at a time when the horror anthology is hot. In addition to recently cancelled Channel Zero, the series will be airing in the vicinity of CBS All Access’s Twilight Zone reboot, supervised by Oscar winner Jordan Peele; Netflix award behemoth Black Mirror; Hulu’s monthly Into the Dark; acclaimed AMC entry The Terror; and Amazon’s Lore, based on the podcast of the same name.
Additional stories and casting for Creepshow will be announced later this year.
