The Dryden Commission is arguably the last chance the Railyard synths have at bettering their relationship with the humans. They don’t have the manpower to physically fight their way out of captivity, the curfew makes it hard for them to interact with people on a daily basis, and the bombing obliterated what little empathy Green-Eyed synths still enjoyed among the general population. To humanize themselves to the Dryden Commission would be the first step toward reintegrating back into society and getting to live with the type of freedom that Day Zero had denied them. But will Dryden even be open to accepting the humanity that lay within the synth population?
On the next episode of Humans, Laura and the rest of the Dryden Commission arrive at the Railyard for the tour. It’s a Hail Mary for Laura given the standing she and her opinions currently lack with the other Dryden members, but it’s the type of out-of-the-box thinking that could make progress toward equality. The main thing to worry about, though, isn’t the closed minds of certain Dryden members; it’s the synths that don’t want them there in the first place. The vehemence with which Agnes holds her anti-human views will be something that Max has to contain if there’s any hope of protecting the rest of his flock, but how far will he be willing to go to keep her from ruining everything?
Elsewhere on Humans, Mia receives a tempting offer via someone from her past, while Mattie’s guilt over Day Zero forces her hand, Niska makes headway in her search for the bomber, and Joe’s night out with Karen and Sam takes an unexpected turn.
