A chorus of fans will be telling FOX to go to… well… Lucifer’s home as the network has opted not to order a fourth season of the devilish drama.
Lucifer had a very active online fan base and was a fairly steady performer for the network; unfortunately, with limited schedule space, “fairly steady” was not enough.
Can we dare to hope The CW or the DC Universe streaming service make a deal with the Devil to keep the show going?
Tom Ellis starred as the title character in the series loosely based on DC/Vertigo’s Lucifer comics. The series, which also starred Lauren German, Kevin Alejandro, and Lesley-Ann Brandt, added comic book TV veteran Tom Welling (Smallville) for Season 3.
The announcement was made by series star Tom Ellis on Twitter earlier today.
It has been the most amazing experience over the past 3 years playing Lucifer and falling in love with you, the fans. It fills me with great sadness to confirm the rumours that some of you have been asking. Fox has indeed cancelled #lucifer I’m so sorry guys. #gutted
