Today’s installment of “Pizza Man Week” at KSiteTV brings us to Noah Gray-Cabey and Leonard Roberts, who played the father-and-son duo of Micah and D.L. on NBC’s Heroes Season 1. Both actors appear together in what will surely make for one of the most memorable sequences in the film.

In these exclusive KSiteTV interviews, Gray-Cabey and Roberts talk about the reunion:

Noah Gray-CabeyKSITETV: What was it that brought you to “Pizza Man?”

NOAH GRAY-CABEY: Foz [McDermott, an executive producer on the film whose previous credits include Heroes] asked if I wanted to just come in do a scene with Leonard, and I obviously said yes. I knew this was going to be so much fun. Foz is so much fun, and so is Leonard, so it’s nice being here.

KSITETV: How long has it been since you’d seen Leonard Roberts?

GRAY-CABEY: It’s been a while since I worked with Leonard. I’ve talked with Leonard, but I haven’t worked with Leonard in two years, so it’s been a while.

KSITETV: Have you kept in touch with your other Heroes castmates?

GRAY-CABEY: Not really, to tell you the truth. Leonard is the one that we’ve kept the most in contact with. It’s kind of nice to talk to him every once in a while. He’s a real awesome guy, and so much fun.

KSITETV: Is it true that your appearance in this movie features a reference to your time on Heroes?

GRAY-CABEY: I think there definitely will be a little bit of a nod.

KSITETV: If Heroes comes back for a fifth season, would you come back to the show if asked?

GRAY-CABEY: I’m up for anything. I’ve just got to go with the flow. I’m pretty laid back in that way, so if they want me to do an episode or something, sure.

KSITETV: What have you been up to since we last saw you on Heroes?

GRAY-CABEY: I just did an episode of CSI, which was really fun. I got to be a bad guy for once. But mainly I’ve been doing school, which has been my most trying part yet. We just did midterms, so I’m still dead inside a little bit from that.

KSITETV: Are you still doing music?

GRAY-CABEY: Yeah, I’m learning to play the guitar. I’m a little rusty on the piano, but I’m learning to play the guitar and writing more songs.

KSITETV: What was it like to return to Heroes in Season 3?

GRAY-CABEY: Since I’d been gone from Heroes for a while, it was very cool to come back to see everyone on set again. I think that was the most fun part. And it was kind of cool to just be part of this whole little secret thing all along. I hadn’t been working on the show, but it was still kind of fun to just be there secretly. But it was fun; it was really nice to see everyone again.

Leonard RobertsKSITETV: How did you become involved with the “Pizza Man” feature?

LEONARD ROBERTS: My buddy Foz and I kept in contact after Heroes, and we see each other every now and then. He gave me a call and told me all about it, and I thought it was funny, so I was like “Cool, I’m down.”

KSITETV: This movie is a bit of a reunion between yourself and Noah Gray-Cabey. Can you talk about that?

ROBERTS: I got to reunite with somebody very close to my heart. It was a nice little reunion. That was the main reason I wanted to come in; I wanted to come in and see my boy. We’re just kind of doing a tongue-in-cheek reunion, and it just sparked back up; the same energy that we had back in the day.

KSITETV: I hear the two of you have kept in touch over the years?

ROBERTS: We touch base. His birthday’s the day before mine, so I always give him a call to see what’s what, and to see how life is going for the kid genius.

KSITETV: Do you have anything to say to Heroes fans who miss seeing you as D.L.?

ROBERTS: I miss him too. I wish [D.L.] could have done more than just get shot. I had a lot more in me, but who knows. I don’t think it’s done, so I’ll never say never.

KSITETV: So you would come back to Heroes if you were asked?

ROBERTS: If they asked me verrry nicely. [laughs]

KSITETV: Would you consider a return to Smallville if you were approached?

ROBERTS: You know what, I would. Even though [as Nam-Ek] I got as close as I could to General Zod… I would have loved to have been General Zod.

Thanks to both actors for taking the time to do interviews. Come back tomorrow for another “Pizza Man” interview – which one, we’re not sure yet, it depends on transcription time, but it will surely be fun!
