FX Networks has revealed its first premiere dates for the coming fall.
First up on the docket will be the fourth season of dating comedy You’re the Worst, which will premiere Wednesday, September 6th at 10:00 on FXX. The series, from Stephen Falk (Orange Is the New Black), follows narcissistic author Jimmy (Chris Geere) and self-destructive PR exec Gretchen (Aya Cash) as they attempt to build something real. Season three ended with Jimmy’s marriage proposal bringing out unresolved issues he has toward the idea of family, Edgar’s girlfriend moving back to Jacksonville after giving up on show business, and Lindsay unknowingly dooming herself to a much less affluent lifestyle than she’s accustomed.
In addition to Geere and Cash, You’re the Worst stars Desmin Borges (Preacher) and Kether Donohue (Pitch Perfect).
The second season of comedy Better Things will follow soon after on FX Thursday, September 14th at 10:00. Co-created by Pamela Adlon and Louis C.K. (Louie), the series follows single mother Sam (Adlon) as she tries to balance a less than fulfilling acting career with raising her three children and looking out for her quirky mother. In addition to co-writing every episode, Adlon is set to direct every episode of Better Things season two.
In addition to Adlon, Better Things stars Mikey Madison (Blue Weekend), Hannah Alligood (Paper Towns), Olivia Edward (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), and Celia Imrie (Bridget Jones’s Diary).
