It seems like it has been since the last press tour that we got updates on Syfy’s TV adaptation of DC Comics’ Booster Gold character. Thankfully, we now have a – perhaps small – update.
At this year’s Comic-Con International in San Diego, we caught up with producer-writer Andrew Kreisberg, who, in addition to his work on the upcoming CW series Arrow, is also soon to turn in a script for Booster.
“Yes! I’m actually turning that in next month,” he said in the interview we posted at GreenArrowTV. “It was very cool; I got to meet Dan Jurgens last night, who created the character and the comic book, who I had never met before. So I spent a lot of time explaining to him what a fan I was, so he didn’t think I was some random gun for hire who was going to ruin his baby.”
Syfy’s development process goes on a bit longer than most broadcast networks, but with Kreisberg name-checking Buffy and Doctor Who during the interview, chances are good that Booster Gold will be in the right hands.
