When on-set photos from Marvel’s Inhumans pilot leaked online, many were wondering: Why Hawaii?
A new official description of the series, which will premiere on IMAX theaters before landing on ABC for a limited run this Fall, confirms what is going on. Here’s what it says:
After the Royal Family of Inhumans is splintered by a military coup, they barely escape to Hawaii where their surprising interactions with the lush world and humanity may prove to not only save them, but Earth itself.
Marvel’s Inhumans will star Anson Mount as Black Bolt, Iwan Rheon as Maximus the Mad, Serinda Swan as Queen Medusa, Ken Leung as Karnak, Isabelle Cornish as Crystal, Eme Ikwuakor as Gorgon, Mike Moh as Triton and Sonya Balmores as Auran.
Co-produced by Marvel Television and ABC Studios, “Marvel’s Inhumans” is executive produced by Scott Buck (“Dexter,” “Marvel’s Iron Fist”) with Jeph Loeb (“Marvel’s Daredevil,” “Marvel’s Jessica Jones,” “Marvel’s Luke Cage”) and Jim Chory (“Marvel’s Daredevil,” “Marvel’s Jessica Jones,” “Marvel’s Luke Cage”). Buck also serves as showrunner. The first two episodes will be directed by Roel Reine (“The Delivery,” “Black Sails”).
