For the most part, the Copeland family has been simply trying to survive the apocalyptic events that they’ve encountered. They’ve not had much in the way of time to regroup and recuperate, so trying to figure out the why regarding everything that’s transpired hasn’t been at the top of their priorities list, especially given Karen’s dalliance with the volcano, Brianna’s kidnapping at the hands of the Skin Walker, Josh becoming afflicted with the plague, and the various earthquakes, sea goblins, evil Japanese vines, tainted tetra, and crazy nurses that’ve come their way. But with Josh on the mend and a solid lead to work off of, now is the time for the Copelands to go after the answers they need to survive.
On the next episode of Aftermath, the Copelands begin seeking out Bob Black, the radio man whose broadcasts have served as a North Star of sorts when it comes to apocalyptic happenings. With the information Josh got from the university unreadable, given their lack of access to a decades-old computer, this is the best chance the family has at figuring out what’s going on and, more importantly, how they can safe themselves. But Bob’s elusiveness and the Copelands being without any real way to track him down will make things all the more difficult, as will the “government officials” asking around about Josh. While the family’s comfort in the face of danger should be an advantage in their trek toward enlightenment, what happens if this oracle they’re trusting everything with is nowhere to be found?
Aftermath airs Tuesdays at 10:00 on Syfy.
Could the men asking about Josh actually be government agents or are they someone with an even more nefarious reason for trying to find the professor? What do you think is the meaning behind “The one is many, but the many are one”? If finding Black doesn’t solve the apocalypse, is there anything the Copelands can do to save themselves?
