Will There Be A Supernatural Season 8? Jared Padalecki Talks…

TVLine’s Vlada Gelman did a pretty fantastic Q&A with Supernatural’s Jared Padalecki a few days ago… and within the talk about what’s coming up for this year, Jared spoke about his hopes for Season 8.

Supernatural Season 8 is not yet a sure thing, as The CW has not yet announced which shows are back for Fall 2012, but the idea that Padalecki is talking about a Season 8 combined with the fact that The CW hasn’t been promoting 7 as “the final season” is very encouraging.

Here’s what Jared had to say:

“I’m excited about it. I know I have a kid on the way in March, and that’s pretty intense and exciting and scary and every emotion you could imagine. But I’m excited about Season 8. I feel like there are more stories to tell. I feel like we haven’t wrapped everything up. Season 8 could be a great season. Even if we have to wrap things up in Season 8, I feel like it would be a nice last hurrah.”

No! There HAS to be a season 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and as many as you can do! I will cry if you guys end it in this season, or in the 8th season!

Supernatural is the BEST show ever! I love it!

My wife and I started watching this show on Netflix 2 weeks ago and were already on season 6! We love love love the show and can’t wait to be caught up to the weekly new episodes. Jared and Jensen are amazing as is misha Collins. I hope to god or Crowley that this show is on for at least 3 more seasons. I WILL be watching :) thanks for all the great moments and laughs especially jensen doing eye of the tiger at the end of yellow fever. I love it haha

My whole family has been watching from the beginning. It was one show that my husband and I watched with our two teenaged sons as a family. We wait every year to hear if the show has been renewed and dread the news that the show is ending. So here is to season 8..and 9 and 10…and so on a so forth.

    5. Fawn on May 13, 2012 3:24 am

If the guys are for it, there’s no reason Supernatural can’t keep going for years to come. There will always be new monsters to hunt, new motels to stay in,new occult ceremonies, new road food restaurants, new characters, and the best part…new cars to drive..

There must be a season 8…. and hopefully many seasons after that.

    9. nicole on May 21, 2012 3:27 pm

i think it should never end. but if it has to atleast bring dean back man. thi show is awsome especially because this is my get away after my 1 1/2 yr old and my 7 month old daughters go to bed. dont cliff hang me like this please lol

    10. June on May 22, 2012 3:29 am

dude, in season 8 there shud b 2 daughters of Dean and Lisa. Lisa abandoned them in woods cause she was scared. And Castiel found one of them and brought her to Dean and then they have to find the other one. Soon they get to know that the other daughter is in Clair (one of the demons, probably Azazel’s daughter!) custody and would only return her when Sam and Dean wood die. That’ll be awesome

    11. deb hanley on May 24, 2012 11:08 am

i am really looking forward to season 8 but i still think that they should bring lisa and ben back at some point if they dont then the season 6 story arc for dean has been a waste of time why keep them in all season just to write them out at the very end doesnt make sense hopin this season s going to be a good un ive watched every ep since the beginin and will do till the finale ep hurry up october.

My friend Clarissa and I love this show to death. When I saw the “Final Ending” clip on the Internet where Dean goes back to Lisa and the very last seconds Sam is standing outside, I cried. That can’t be it! It’s such a terrible ending to such a truly unforgettable show. Whoever created this and cast these people deserve metals, awards, monuments. This show deserves at LEAST one more epic season to wrap it all together. In the end the brothers should be alive and together, I think anyways, give it one more run. For the fans. You owe it to yourselves to keep going your so damn talented!

    13. Alex on Jun 10, 2012 6:56 pm

I absolutely LOVE this show and Jared and Jensen I started this show the end of season 1 and I was in love with it there has 2 be a season 8 especially how season 7 ended I personally was mad on how it ended and will be if there is no more seasons so PLEASE LET THERE BE A SEASON 8 and it will be awesome if there is a season 9, and 10

    14. Sarah Thompson on Jun 12, 2012 9:56 pm

Hi I totally agree with all of you! Jared Padalecki, Jensen, and Misha are awesome actors!! Supernatural rocks and is so addictive! I hope that they have many more seasons as long as they want to keep acting :) <3 supernatural !!!!

    15. Heidi on Jun 24, 2012 7:10 pm

I love the show. Season 6 and 7 were not the best but I never get tired of seeing these guy in action. Season 5 had the best ending and it will be hard pressed for them to top it

    16. Ashley on Aug 9, 2012 9:17 am

    19. TIffany on Feb 19, 2013 3:18 am

I absolutely just love Supernatural :) Its my No.1 TV series. Dean ( Jensen) and Sam ( Jarred) – You guys Rock :) I wish that Supernatural has many many more seasons. Its the Best TV Series ever. looking forward to Season 8, 9, 10, 11…….

    20. tina on Mar 20, 2013 11:03 am

Supernatural is the best show on tv in my opinion and obviously to many others. To end this show would not be in the best interest of the cw. To have such a high fan base , still, after 8 years is proof enough that nobodys getting bored watching these guys. The stories are always so exciting, its hard to foresee what happens next. You also picked a good set of actors to play Sam and Dean. I mean who could stop watching them. Both eye candy!
