CBS has released the trailer for Big Bang Theory prequel/spinoff Young Sheldon and in it, we see how the beginning of the man who would one day become a respected theoretical physicist.
From Big Bang Theory creators Chuck Lorre and Steve Molaro, Young Sheldon follows a 9-year-old Sheldon Cooper (Iain Armitage) as he struggles with being a once-in-a-generation mind while living in an eastern Texas community that doesn’t value intellectualism. The series chronicles Sheldon’s awkward interactions with his peers and family, none of whom can relate to him in the way that they want and he needs.
In addition to Armitage, Young Sheldon stars Zoe Perry (Scandal), Lance Barber (Gangster Squad), Raegan Revord (Jia), and Montana Jordan (The Legacy of a Whitetail Deer Hunter).
Young Sheldon is set to premiere Mondays at 8:30 before moving to Thursdays at 8:30 on CBS. You can check out the network’s full fall schedule here.
