Paramount Network has announced that well-received family drama Yellowstone has been renewed for a second 10-episode season, which will premiere in 2019.
The news doesn’t come as a surprise given Yellowstone‘s recent series highs and status as cable’s most-watched series behind The Walking Dead. Season to date, Yellowstone is averaging five million viewers and a 1.4 18-49 demo rating.
The series is the first scripted renewal for Paramount following its rebrand from Spike earlier this year. The network has already aired Emmy-nominated miniseries Waco and premiered period comedy American Woman, the latter of which awaits word on its fate.
From Taylor Sheridan (Hell or High Water), Yellowstone follows
In addition to Costner, the series stars Luke Grimes (True Blood), Kelly Reilly (Britannia), Wes Bentley (American Horror Story), Cole Hauser (Rogue), Danny Huston (Magic City), and Gil Birmingham (Twilight).
Yellowstone airs Wednesdays at 10:00 on Paramount Network.
