Variety is reporting that Girlfriends alum Golden Brooks is set to recur on upcoming Paramount Network drama Yellowstone. She’ll be playing ambitious Geraldine Rainwater, wife of Native American leader Thomas (Gil Birmingham) who she pushes toward a career in public office.
From Taylor Sheridan (Hell or High Water), Yellowstone follows the Duttons, a Montana family who own the largest contiguous ranch in the United States. Led by patriarch John (Kevin Costner), the dysfunctional clan is charged with protecting their land from all comers, including land developers, an Indian reservation, and America’s first national park.
In addition to her role on the UPN-turned-CW comedy, Brooks has appeared on the likes of Hart of Dixie, Blunt Talk, and The Exes. She joins a cast that includes Dave Annable (Red Band Society), Wes Bentley (American Horror Story), Kelly Reilly (True Detective), Luke Grimes (True Blood), and Wendy Moniz (Kingdom).
Yellowstone is set to premiere in 2018 on Paramount Network, where it will join the series adaptation of Heathers, Alicia Silverstone’s American Woman, and limited series Waco.
