8:00 The Blacklist (NBC) – “Smokey Putnum”
Season premiere. With his criminal empire in ruins, a surprisingly carefree Red enlists Liz in an unlikely plan to simultaneously earn cash and deliver a new Blacklister to the Task Force. As Liz faces the new reality of working alongside her father, Ressler finds himself in a precarious position and Tom weighs his options.

8:00 Empire (FOX) – “Noble Memory”
Season premiere. In celebration of Empire’s 20th Anniversary, Lucious makes his first public appearance since the explosion in Las Vegas, but still has no memory of his family, Empire or his life before the accident. A devastated Cookie struggles to rebuild her relationship with him, while keeping a close eye on his nurse, Claudia. Meanwhile, Andre is faced with an investigation by the LAPD surrounding the night of the explosion, Diana DuBois continues her war against the Lyons and the worlds of Empire and Star collide when Carlotta comes face-to-face with Cookie and Lucious.

8:00 The Goldbergs (ABC) – “Weird Science”Photos
Season premiere. Beverly and Murray move Erica into college where her roommate is also named Erica. Later, Beverly has a hard time letting go and ends up sleeping over in the dorm, much to Erica’s dismay. Meanwhile, Adam tries to give Barry the perfect girlfriend, even trying to build one like in the movie Weird Science, as he embarks into his senior year.

8:00 Mr. Mercedes (Audience) – “From the Ashes”
A critical error puts Brady in the center of a crisis of his own making. Holly and Jerome make a pivotal discovery. After a tragedy sends Hodges reeling, he goes to visit his daughter, Allie.

8:30 Speechless (ABC) – “W-E– WE’RE B-A– BACK!”
Season premiere. While JJ was at summer camp, Maya decided it’s time the family no longer use JJ’s disability as an excuse to let their lives fall through the cracks. Maya, Jimmy and Dylan make dramatic changes, but a smug Ray decides he will spend the summer watching his family likely failing at their attempts. When JJ comes home, Kenneth finds a love note in JJ’s luggage from Alexa, a girl he met at camp, who wants to give JJ his first kiss. The family chucks their self-improvement projects and hits the road to find Alexa.

9:00 Law & Order: SVU (NBC) – “Gone Fishin'”
Season premiere. When Fin crosses international borders to catch a fugitive rapist, a political tug-of-war derails Barba’s legal case. Meanwhile, shocking allegations against Benson lead to the return of an old friend.

9:00 Modern Family (ABC) – “Lake Life”
Season premiere. In the season premiere, Jay forces the family to take their family vacation on a houseboat on a lake in an effort to create memories that will last long after he’s gone. Meanwhile, Mitchell runs into an old flame that opens some old wounds; Cam has to stay out of the sun at all costs; Phil and Claire try out some adventureous excursions; and the kids’ quest for a good time may not be as fun as they expected.

9:00 SEAL Team (CBS) – “Tip of the Spear”
Series premiere. The most elite unit of Navy SEALs must navigate their professional and personal lives as they train, plan and execute the most dangerous, high stakes missions our country can ask of them.

Season premiere. While still dealing with the repercussions of Hunter’s death, Star goes to great lengths to assure that the group gets a release date for their album. A frustrated Simone struggles with bullying and Alexandra moves in with Derek despite the hardships they’ve experienced. Meanwhile, Carlotta faces difficult decisions when it comes to managing the group, causing the Star and Empire worlds to collide as Jamal Lyon is sought for advice.

9:30 American Housewife (ABC) – “Back to School”
Season premiere. Katie’s efforts to get more time for herself backfire when she is forced to mend fences with the Westport moms by volunteering to run the school’s spring gala. Meanwhile, Oliver proves to Katie that his passion for ballet is genuine, inspiring her to confront his belittling teacher and stick up for him. Taylor and Greg disagree over whether or not she needs to go to college while he teaches her how to drive.

10:00 Channel Zero: No-End House (Syfy) – “Nice Neighborhood”
Margot and Jules deal with the presence of The Father, as Seth and JT set off on their own terrifying paths. Meanwhile, Dylan is on a secret mission to find someone close to him.

10:00 Chicago PD (NBC) – “Reform”
Season premiere. The district is in a state of change – Lindsay has moved to New York- and the CPD is under scrutiny about the corrupt nature of its institution. Under the watchful eye of the city, the team attempts to bust a gun deal that quickly turns dicey when innocent civilians and children get involved. Tension erupts when Chief Lugo brings in Denny Woods to review the shootout, and Halstead becomes a key player in the outcome of the case. 

10:00 Criminal Minds (CBS) – “Wheels Up”
Season premiere. Agent Matt Simmons joins the BAU team in a race to take down Mr. Scratch and save one of their own in the process.

10:00 Designated Survivor (ABC) – “One Year In”
Season premiere. Now, one year into office, Kirkman is a Commander-in-Chief determined to rebuild the Capitol and capture the terrorists behind the catastrophic attack on the United States. When Ukrainian nationalists hijack a Russian Air flight, the president is faced with a hostage situation in which his diplomatic skills are put to the test.

10:00 Greenleaf (OWN) – “The Pearl”
Season finale. In the Season 2 finale, the tensions in Zora and Isaiah’s relationship come to a head at the cotillion. In other events, Lady Mae makes an overture of peace to Mavis, and the result is a revelation that sends Mae into a tailspin.

10:00 Liar (SundanceTV) – “Episode 1”Trailer
Series premiere. Laura Nielson is a smart and dedicated teacher, not long out of a relationship and unsure about getting back on the dating scene. When she meets Andrew Earlham, a renowned surgeon whose son is a pupil at her school, an initial attraction leads to a date. But neither fully realizes the far-reaching consequences that their meeting will have on each other or their families.

A forbidden love story between a white man and a Native American man unfolds.

10:00 You’re the Worst (FXX) – “Fog of War, Bro”
Gretchen has moved back into the house and plays mind games with Jimmy, sabotaging his first interview for the new book. Seeing an opportunity in Gretchen’s return to the house, Edgar and Lindsay plot to get Jimmy and Gretchen back together. 

10:30 Broad City (Comedy Central) – “Just the Tips”
Ilana goes on a spending spree with her waitressing cash, and Abbi basks in the glow of a new relationship. Later that night, the girls bump into an old friend at a party.

Skits about the politics of escaping the Titanic and the friend who always wants to dance.

Series premiere. Daniel returns to Tasmania to help his mother with her business and he gets a surprise when his best friend Emma turns up, after running from her marriage.
