8:00 The Big Bang Theory (CBS) – “The Retraction Reaction”
Leonard angers the university – and the entire physics community – after he gives an embarrassing interview. Also, Amy and Bernadette bond over having to hide their success from Sheldon and Howard.

8:00 Lucifer (FOX) – “They’re Back, Aren’t They?”Photos
Season premiere. After a confused Lucifer wakes up in the middle of the desert with his wings back, he recruits the help of Chloe to help figure out what happened to him and why. Upon doing their own research, they come across a crime scene that could be tied to Lucifer’s kidnapping. When the Lancaster Police Department get involved, newcomer Lieutenant Marcus Pierce (Tom Welling) fails to make a great impression on everyone with his stern demeanor. The investigation goes awry when Lucifer finds himself in another compromising situation and something much darker is revealed.

8:30 9JKL (CBS) – “Pilot”
Series premiere. Mark Feuerstein stars as Josh Roberts, a new divorcé and actor between projects who moves home to New York to regroup, living in an apartment sandwiched between his doting, meddlesome parents on one side and his brother, sister-in-law and their new baby on the other.

9:00 Family Time (Bounce TV) – “Rich Donnie”
Season premiere. Lisa helps Ebony with the SATs while Tony deals with Donnie’s “inheritance.”

9:00 The Gifted (FOX) – “Exposed” Advance Review
Series premiere. Set in the X-Men universe, family adventure series The Gifted tells the emotional story of a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their teenage children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family seeks help from an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.

9:00 Kevin Can Wait (CBS) – “Business Unusual”
Overwhelmed by Kevin’s helicopter parenting, Kendra tricks him into taking a job at Vanessa’s new private security company.

9:30 Grown Folks (Bounce TV) – “Competing for Love”
Series premiere. Gary and Jillian are having issues in Love Land. Meanwhile, James and Brenda are just loving each other dearly, leading to a jealous Jillian and striking a competition between Gary and James.

9:30 Me, Myself & I (CBS) – “The First Step”
Darryl encourages mid-life Alex to get back into the dating scene following his divorce; young Alex has trouble making friends after his embarrassing moment at the school dance; and older Alex finally has his first date with Eleanor.

10:00 The Halcyon (Ovation) – “Episode 1”
Series premiere. In the series premiere, Lord Hamilton returns to the hotel just as a scandal threatens to engulf it. As a mysterious American guest arrives, hotel manager Garland must reckon with unwanted and unexpected visitors. Freddie returns to the hotel with a surprise for Garland’s daughter Emma.

10:00 Scorpion (CBS) – “More Extinction”
Team Scorpion continues to work with their nemesis, Mark Collins, in order to prevent an extinction event that could end humanity. Also, Cabe’s last-minute decision while on the case leads to the possible end of his career.

10:00 The Brave (NBC) – “Moscow Rules”
The team heads to Russia when C.I.A. Officer Cassie Conner is attacked by rebels in the area. Patricia and her team work to learn why Conner is so important for the rebels to take out and Noah reveals an unexpected connection to the case. 

10:00 The Good Doctor (ABC) – “Mount Rushmore”
Dr. Shaun Murphy’s attention to detail complicates his first day at St. Bonaventure Hospital. Meanwhile, Dr. Claire Browne learns a valuable lesson about honesty when confronted with a difficult diagnosis for her patient.
