Disney+ has announced the first three scripted series that Marvel Studios will be fielding on the upcoming streaming service.
On the live-action side, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier sees Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan reprising their roles as Falcon and Winter Soldier, respectively, while WandaVision reunites Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff with Paul Bettany as The Vision. There’s also an upcoming animated series titled Marvel’s What If…?, which turns pivotal moments in the Marvel Cinematic Universe on their head and explores alternative scenarios that could’ve played out.
No further details about each series have been released as of yet, though episode orders are expected to be in the 6-8 range.
This latest batch of Marvel shows arrives as Netflix laid waste to its Marvel Television Universe, cancelling The Punisher, Jessica Jones, Daredevil, and Iron Fist in rapid succession. They join the Marvel Universe currently set up at fellow Disney property Hulu, which features animated shows centered on M.O.D.O.K., Hit-Monkey, Tigra, Dazzler, and Howard the Duck.
Disney+ is slated to launch this November.
