Megalyn Echikunwoke To Voice Vixen In CW Seed Animated Series

TV Guide Magazine’s Comic-Con issue spills the beans on who is voicing DC Comics character Vixen in the upcoming CW Seed animated series of the same name, and somehow the VixenVarsity website got a hold of an early scan, in which executive producer Marc Guggenheim describes the tale as a “coming-of-age story.”
Megalyn Echikunwoke has gotten the title role in the series, which also features the voices of Stephen Amell, Grant Gustin, Emily Bett Rickards, and Carlos Valdes from the Arrow and Flash series.
In Vixen, a young woman named Mari McCabe discovers that a mysterious totem she inherited from her now-deceased parents bestows magical abilities. “It basically gives her the powers of any animal on Earth,” Guggenheim says in the magazine. “She can fly like an eagle, she can have the strength of a gorilla, she can run as fast as a cheetah.” As Arrow is very grounded and The Flash has introduced superpowers to the DC TV universe, Vixen will have a magic component.
TV Guide Magazine’s Comic-Con issue will be available next week; hopefully, some good previews for Vixen will be seen at Comic-Con as well.
