In this installment of his “What’s On?” column, Jeff Holbrook outlines his TV picks for the week starting February 13.
1. Alcatraz 1.06 “Paxton Petty” (FOX)

Synopsis: When our unlikely trio tracks former inmate Paxton Petty (James Pizzinato), a sick landmine bomber who has returned only to place bombs throughout populated areas of San Francisco, methods of the past are applied to the present…
Thoughts: Though I expected to enjoy this show, I was not ready to like it as much as I do. The characters are fun and the villains are compelling. Paxton brings yet another complex dimension of criminal this week. I am willing to bet that this will be a rather explosive episode.
2. The Vampire Diaries 3.13 “All My Children” (The CW)

Synopsis: After starting her day with a startling discovery of Damon’s latest indiscretion, Elena is frustrated to find that none of her friends agree with her on how they should react to the Original family’s internal power struggle. Once again caught up in the destiny of the Bennett witches, Bonnie and Abby find themselves playing a part in a ritual to appease the spirits of nature. When Elijah gives Damon and Stefan a dangerous ultimatum that puts Elena in danger, they turn to Alaric and Meredith for help with a plan that leads them to a terrible choice.
Thoughts: Mommy Original is quite the deviant one, huh? We know part of her immaculate plan, but there is one thing we do not know… Can Elena and the Salvatore brothers trust her? Tune in this week and maybe we’ll find out.
3. Supernatural 7.15 “Repo Man” (CW)
Air Time: Friday, February 17th, 2012 @ 9PM ET

Synopsis: Four years ago, Sam and Dean helped a woman named Nora exorcise a demon that was systematically killing women in a small town. They managed to save the postal worker, Jeffrey, while vanquishing the demon but now it seems the black-eyed monster has reared his ugly head and returned for a second helping. The brothers visit Jeffrey, who has been locked in a psych ward since the incident, to see if he can remember any of the demon’s plans while he was possessed.
Thoughts: With any other show, it would be tough to compete with a high-quality episode like Supernatural had last week; however, this is not any other show. I’m really anticipating this episode because it marks the return of Lucifer, albeit in Sam’s noggin, I think… Mark Pellegrino does not know how to give a bad performance. This could compete with the season’s best episodes.
4. Once Upon a Time 1.13 “What Happened To Frederick” (ABC)
Air Time: Sunday, February 19th, 2012 @ 8PM ET

Synopsis: With their love for each other growing stronger, David finally agrees to tell Kathryn about his relationship with Mary Margaret and put an end to his loveless marriage. Meanwhile, in the fairytale land that was, while runaway groom Prince Charming searches for Snow White, he agrees to aid Abigail on a dangerous mission to recover something precious that was lost to her.
Thoughts: I’m excited to see if David will finally announce the truth of his feelings for MM. Also intriguing is the precious item that Abigail is searching for. What could it be? Watch and find out!
5. The Walking Dead 2.09 “Triggerfinger” (AMC)
Air Time: Sunday, February 19th, 2012 @ 9PM ET

Synopsis: Trapped, Rick, Hershel and Glenn fight to survive against new foes, both dead and alive. Shane finds Lori in danger on the road and makes it his mission to bring her back to the farm.
Thoughts: From the looks of the preview, all hell is breaking loose for Rick, Glenn and Hershel! From the moment that those men walked into the bar, I knew they were up to no good. It should be an exciting confrontation next week. Also, how is Lori going to get herself out of her current predicament?
