The May 10 season finale of The Vampire Diaries is almost here, and although a few images had trickled out here and there, the network has now finally released a gallery showing more of what we can expect on May 10.
What can we see? Well, there’s a flashback with Elena’s parents and Aunt Jenna, as we see more about a simpler time in Mystic Falls. Looks like the drama level is raised to 10, which is kind of unsurprising for a Vampire Diaries season finale. The real question is, can they top the Season 1 finale cliffhanger, which is still one of the best of all time?

THE VAMPIRE DIARIES
I don't think that's Stefan in the photo. Can't be sure, but I think it's Matt and this is a flashback to when she and Matt were dating. The shirt looks the same as the one Matt is wearing in a later photo, and his build seems too large to be Stefan.
It's not Matt. Matt doesn't have that body type. He's larger and his hair is blonder. This is either Stefan or Klaus and I believe it is Stefan (unfortunately).

Book Spoiler - Know what I think is going to happen??? Elena dies and becomes a Vampire... Wanna know why I think that's what's going to happen? If you've seen the extended promo, you may have noticed Matt's car going out of Wickery Brigde, similar to the book...accident that kills Elena while she has vampire blood in her system...making her a Vampire... Two good reasons for it to happen...1st..it solves our Alaric problems...Elena dies, Alaric dies...2nd...it's an amazing Cliffhanger!!!

See!!!! God I'm good!!!! lol Since I love the books...the moment I saw the car going out of Wickery Bridge...it just hit me...she's becoming a vampire... Like to know if they are going to use the rest of the book... BOOK SPOILER ... for instance...in the book...when Elena wakes up, she remembers Damon, and doesn't remember Stefan...she wants Damon...and despises Stefan...I think that's a very realistic possibility,since the last person she spoke to before the accident was Damon...and it adds to the plot, the love triangle...it gives the Delena fans a little taste of what it would be like if they were together...
