Deadline is reporting that W. Tre Davis (Shades of Blue) will be a series regular on The CW’s military conspiracy pilot Valor. He’ll be playing Jimmy, a married father who works as the chief of the helicopter crew.
From Kyle Jarrow (The Lost Generation), Valor follows the goings on at a United States Army base that houses elite helicopter pilots. The series will focus on Gallo (Matt Barr) and Nora, two pilots training for a rescue mission in Somalia that will bring home American servicemen. What the Army doesn’t know, though, is that Gallo and Nora share a shocking secret about the initial operation that led to the capture of the men they’re trying to save.
In addition to his role on the NBC drama, newcomer Davis has appeared on the likes of Law & Order: SVU, web series Seeking: the Web Series, and short film Didn’t I Ask for Tea?.
Valor is one of six CW pilots currently in consideration for 2017-18, joining fantasy drama Searchers, DC-verse entrant Black Lightning, cancer dramedy Life Sentence, soapy reboot Dynasty, and beauty pageant drama Insatiable. Decisions on which of the six projects, as well as the handful of current CW shows presently in limbo, will make it to next season’s schedule should come down in early May.
