Luke Mitchell Cast In The CW’s Tomorrow People Pilot

It seems that a lot of Australian actors do a run on Home And Away before making it big elsewhere, and Luke Mitchell, who played Romeo Smith on the series, is no exception.

THR is reporting that Mitchell has landed the role of John Young in the CW adaptation of British classic The Tomorrow People. THR notes that John’s specialty is teleportation, which will come in handy when recruiting new Tomorrow People. Nicholas Young played John in the original series, and we’re assuming the surname is a nod to the original actor.

Like fellow CW stars Phoebe Tonkin and Claire Holt, Mitchell’s previous credits also include H2O: Just Add Water.

The Tomorrow People pilot, which also stars Peyton List, will be filming soon.

  1. I actually really like this choice of actor for John! I never heard of him before but I just now watched some clips of him on YT and I am beginning to think, that he is a PERFECT choice! Judging from the pics, he is very cute but he also seems to have this leader quality, that is needed for John!

I only hope that “The Tomorrow People” will see the light of day and goes to series! The CW needs more shows like that! “Arrow” has proven to be a huge hit, so I can´t say, why they wouldn´t pick up this pilot!
