FOX has released the trailer for upcoming sci-fi thriller The Passage and in it, we see a girl who might hold the salvation of humanity in the palm of her hand.
Based on the best-selling Justin Cronin trilogy of novels, with Liz Heldens (Friday Night Lights) developing the series for television, The Passage follows Amy Bellafonte (Saniyya Sidney), a 10-year-old girl chosen to be a test subject for secret government experiments involving a dangerous virus that could either cure all disease or cause the downfall of the human race. The series follows the evolution of (and fallback from) the experiments, as well as Amy’s relationship with FBI agent, handler, and surrogate father Brad Wolgast (Mark-Paul Gosselaar).
In addition to Sidney and Gosselaar, The Passage stars Brianne Howey (The Exorcist), Caroline Chikezie (The Shannara Chronicles), Emmanuelle Chriqui (Entourage), Jamie McShane (Bloodline), and Vincent Piazza (Boardwalk Empire).
The Passage airs midseason on FOX. You can check out the FOX 2018 schedule here, as well as trailers for their other new shows here.
