Nellie Andreeva at Deadline.com has reported that Kristin Kreuk has been replaced at the last minute in the Josh Schwartz sitcom pilot Hitched.

Replacing her is Sarah Fletcher.

I know a LOT of KryptonSite and KSiteTV readers who will be very disappointed by this news, and I know I am disappointed. I’ve had the fortune of meeting Ms. Kreuk when writing the Smallville companions and no matter what you thought of Lana, Kristin Kreuk is a very charming, very funny person with a great, awkwardly cute sense of humor. She would have been great for a sitcom.

Now? Not so much interest. Let’s hope it’s at least funny, to make up for losing the one reason I was planning to watch to begin with.

Actress Sharon Lawrence has joined the CBS comedy pilot Hitched. The sitcom is created by Chuck‘s Josh Schwartz and stars Kristin Kreuk.

She will be playing the mother of Kristin’s character, Rachel.

Confirming a rumor from last night, Kristin Kreuk has been cast along with Jack Carpenter in Chuck creator Josh Schwartz’s new sitcom Hitched.

Kristin will be playing one half of a newly-married couple, with Eugene Levy as the wacky dad. If picked up, the show will be airing on CBS.

This was confirmed today by several sources, including EW‘s Michael Ausiello and the Hollywood Reporter.
