Playing Celine’s mother in the recently-filmed CW pilot Betwixt will be actress Chelah Horsdal.

Horsdal’s previous credits include Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem and The L Word. She was seen on Smallville as Dr. McCann in the episode “Lexmas.”

The character’s name is Vanessa.

More casting news from The CW’s pilot Betwixt, which might have completed filming today.

Tyler McClendon, whose previous credits include playing a deputy in the Smallville episode “Phantom” and a Veidt Enterprises security guard in Watchmen, will be playing Michael Garrett, Celine’s father.

Could the last name have changed from “Halstead” to “Garrett?” Sounds possible…

Battlestar Galactica and Smallville actor Aaron Douglas has Tweeted today that he has joined the cast of The CW’s Betwixt pilot.

It sounds like this role might be a recurring one!

Playing a character who shares scenes with Leah Gibson’s “Emily” in the Betwixt pilot will be Almeera Jiwa in the role of “Laura.” You might recognize her from the video “Soulstice.”

Both roles are expected to just be guest shots for the series pilot, which is hoping for a spot on The CW’s Fall 2010 schedule.

KSiteTV has learned about three more actors cast in ABC’s No Ordinary Family pilot, which is now filming for possible inclusion on the Fall 2010 schedule.

Sean Bowen (left) plays a batting cage clerk. His previous credits include small roles on Cold Case and on an episode of Veronica Mars as a friend of Logan’s.

Ingrid Sanai Buron plays JJ’s guidance counselor. You might recognize her from recurring roles on House and The Unit.

Christian Stokes, who has a variety of scary credits to his name, will be playing a meth head in addition to doing stunts for the program.

KSiteTV has learned that Anil Kumar, who had a recurring role on Day 4 of 24, will be playing a hypnotist/mentalist in NBC’s upcoming costumed-hero pilot The Cape.

The name of his character is Ruvi. He’s a part of Max Malini’s gang, and teaches the lead character Vince Faraday (David Lyons) a bit about mentalism while he’s at it.

Playing a small role in the pilot episode of Betwixt will be actress Leah Gibson, whose previous credits include the Watchmen movie.

Gibson will be playing “Emily,” one of two girls who gets into a dangerous predicament at the start of the pilot. This is almost surely just a guest role.

Tessa Thompson is the second Veronica Mars actress to join the cast of The CW’s Betwixt pilot.

Thompson’s character is not yet announced. It could possibly be the role of “Jenny.” Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.

Last season, Tessa Thompson had a recurring arc on Heroes.

KSiteTV has learned that ten year old actor Ryan Wynott has been cast in the role of Trip Faraday in NBC’s new pilot The Cape.

Trip is the only son of the lead character Vince Faraday; an optimistic child who is a big fan of a comic book series about “The Cape” who also happens to be very close to his father.

Fans of Flashforward might recognize Ryan as the character “Dylan Simcoe” on the series.

According to a listing on the Internet Movie Database, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy‘s “culture expert” Jai Rodriguez will be playing Carlos Guerrero in The CW’s H.M.S. pilot presentation.

An official announcement in trade magazines or from the network has not yet been made; however, Rodriguez did post this on his Twitter page last week which should be confirmation enough:

“Thanks guys booked a pilot as a series regualr on the CW. It good thoughts worked.”

The casting notices for Carlos described him as “Latino” and “obviously gay,” which means that The CW could possibly have a gay male as a main character on one of its shows.

H.M.S. is about a group of young medical students at Harvard Medical School, and is a contender for the network’s Fall 2010 line-up. Heroes’ Hayden Panettiere is a co-executive producer.
